It’s actually happening. We are actually doing this. After years of dreaming of it and months of planning it, we are actually doing it. The house is being packed up and going into storage (well the contents of it are) and the house is let.
Yesterday was a strange one. The removal men arrived and starting packing. Think we had loaded most of what we needed into the van already. Well apart from the mountain of essential last minute bits we have piled up in the hallway for the removal men to jump over.
Then the lovely family who are going to rent our house popped over. Felt very strange to be walking round with them knowing they will be living here.
So we are back here today watching the boxes slowly leave the house and once again we are in the ‘eye of the storm’ quietly sat at our lap tops while our home is dismantled around us.
I suppose we could go and organise the van that is going to be our home for the next 12 months….
